I dragged every day and wonder why time passes so slow
I figured I really need to take a break, not a holiday but a retreat
This idea was proposed and immediately attracted another member to be on board
From no destination, no timing, nothing was planned...
Till she found a place in Pangkor island - Pangkor Fish House
I believed it is God's divine appointment...
I have no objection to this proposed plan - as I just want a getaway and rest
In the end, with just booked hostel room and two bus tickets, here we go.
Throughout the 3 days, there is no itinerary except
#eat.rest.read.sleep #repeat
God has been so good to us that He blessed us with good weather, kind and friendly people and His nature beauty and creation
It has been raining before we arrived, but that three days were clear sky
We know no one there, but we met two lovely young ladies who offered us ride and chatted with us
We hope to find an answer on this trip, but God's reply was to walk one step at a time, be faithful in what we do now and trust in Him. (Okay, I get it :P)
With that revelation, my mind and soul was at peace.
Those who know me will know that I'm a person with planning.
I plan ahead what to do when to do etc and I like to pack everything and completed it fast
Little did I know,
I was rushing God, in the same way, demanding for a clear direction and if can a written plan for my 30th years and beyond.
I forgot that He is in charge and He always has my best interest in mind.
I guess, it is a journey of faith by just going one step at a time.
I need to learn to rest, learn to slow down and learn to do nothing.
So, God in His graciousness has allowed me to do what I like the most while admiring His creation during this trip
- Ride a bicycle and tour the island 骑脚车环岛 (although I cannot feel my leg anymore thereafter :P)
- Reading on the hammock
- Watch two sunsets
- Watch sunrise
- Witness supermoon
- Witness eclipse
- Stargazing
- Listen to the sound of waves
- Saw "Blue tear" 蓝眼泪 - microorganism who only shines less than 5 seconds<5 li="" sec="">5>
- Walk from one island to the other island by crossing the sea on foot
- Most of all, to enjoy His presence with the accompany of a dear friend

In spite of the nausea bus journey and not much food choices on the island, this is by far the most relaxing retreat I ever have. We ended the trip with prayer and submitting 2018 to God.
No agenda but just flow with the flow.
感恩小慧的陪伴。静静的,聊天的都是舒服自在的。
At least I am refreshed and hopefully, am recharged.
At least this year seemed to be more bearable to go through now.
PS: if you are seeking a fun trip/ holiday, Pangkor island might not be your choice.
There is really nothing much you can do there. :D hahaha
